Q: What do I need to bring/prepare for auditions?
A: The only things you need to bring to auditions are yourself and an enthusiastic attitude! Equipment will be provided for the audition. If you have weapons, please bring them, in case we do not have enough in our inventory! We will be teaching you everything you need to know during the audition process.
Q: I don't have indoor experience... should I still audition?
A: ABSOLUTELY!!!! We are now offering an opportunity for potential new talent to be part of the activity! With marching two programs, Eloquence will be our advanced group, with Elegance being an opportunity to train and grow! We will give you all of the tools for a successful season!
Q: I am in the WVU colorguard program (ex.)... how am I to go about auditions?
A: I have set up the audition times to work with the WVU schedule. Auditions take place from 5pm-8pm on Tuesday and Thursday. WVU members will be able to attend auditions after their regular rehearsal. Also, Elegance rehearsals will be held from 4:00PM-6:30PM on Tuesdays & Thursdays, followed by Eloquence rehearsals from 6:00PM-9:00PM. WVU members will be required to attend rehearsal following regular band rehearsal for the fall semester, and will be expected to make arrangements within their spring schedules to accomodate what group they are in.
Q: I have a course conflict during the fall part of the rehearsal schedule... help!
A: I can usually work with you with your fall schedule of classes, as long as you are able to attend some rehearsal time during the week. We are going to work to set up at least one mini-camp on a Saturday during November and December so that the ensemble can work with our new guest choreographers. All that I ask is that you please look over the full schedule and plan your Spring semester accordingly as best you can!
Q: I have questions about EPC/auditions... who do I ask?
A: If you have any other questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me, Drew, at eloquencepc@gmail.com, on AIM at AbsolutToga77, or by phone, (304) 906-7924. I am always eager and willing to answer anything you want to know!
